New Living Bible Church
1) Meet Norell
Pastor Taylor is the Founding Pastor of New Living Bible Church in Brownsburg, Indiana. As a servant of Christ, his main passions are evangelizing the lost, expositional preaching and precise teaching. While attending Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church on December 27, 1997 God called him to preach the gospel at the age of twenty-four. Shortly after he sensed the hand of God on his life, Pastor Taylor began attending Summons Bible College. Later he enrolled at Crossroads Bible College where he received a B.S. in Pastoral Studies. He is currently enrolled at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL where he will receive a M.A. Divinity. Before planting New Living Bible Church, Norell was an Associate Pastor at Solid Word Bible Church, an EFCA church in Indianapolis.
Pastor Taylor is the husband of one wife, Nicole S. Taylor. They have been married for seven glorious years. He is the father of four wonderful children, Cordaryl, Christopher, Norell IV, and Elisha.
2) Mission, Vision, and Values
“Bringing glory to God by Building a Healthy Multi-Ethnic and Economically Diverse Body of Believers through the Faithful Preaching and Teaching of the Word of God” (Rev.5:9-10).
Seek – Our Worship (Jn 4:24)
Share – Our Life Groups (Acts 2:42)
Serve – Our Community (Lk 10:37)
“We proclaim Christ, in order to present all people complete before His presence” (Col. 1:28; 2 Cor. 5:17).
At New Living Bible Church we desire to…
We rely on God at all times, even the most difficult ones, and trust that his plan is more awesome than any we could ever imagine. We strive to make sure that we are made smaller while God is made bigger in our church and in the lives of each member.
…Take Intentional Steps
We deliberately organize the church in a way that reflects the diversity God longs to see in His Church. We allow everyone to have the opportunity to share their culture with the church and have their culture integrated into the church with passion and love so that all people will feel welcome.
…Empower Diverse Leadership
We consciously put a diverse group of leaders in place so that no one group of people dominates any one ministry and we are being consistent with the multi-ethnic vision God has called us to.
…Develop Cross-Cultural Relationships
We endeavor to create authentic and transparent relationships with others who are different than us so that we can learn about and love all people and cultures.
…Pursue Cross-Cultural Competence
We seek out knowledge and understanding of all cultures through building relationships, seeking out information and life experience.
…Promote a Spirit of Inclusion
We purposefully diversify the church, church service and church programming to include formats, languages, leaders, etc that represent and appeal to the many different cultures making the church. We are comfortable being uncomfortable.
…Mobilize for Impact
We strive to maintain a healthy multi-ethnic church that is prepared to significantly impact the community and the world for Jesus Christ.
